Caribbean Cruise-- Cozumel, Mexico

Our last & final dock was in Cozumel, Mexico. Our plan for this stop was just to relax, not feel rushed, & to shop and eat there. So that's exactly what we did! :-)

Taking a break from shopping to pose by the fountain in Downtown Cozumel
Lots of people everywhere shopping & touring...

So we heard about this restaurant that had the best food called Carlos & Charlies, but we weren't quite told how crazy it actually was! Oh my! It is like one loud party in there the whole time. When we first got in there they brought us our drinks in huge cups & made balloon hats for us to wear....I got a flower, Kirk got horns..LOL..he was thrilled! hehe!

Smiling with our abnormally big cups..lol

So the chaos begins by them coming around to every table singing at the top of their lungs & then as I was just sitting there minding my business eating my nachos, this little mexican boy waiter pulls my arms & drags me up to the front to dance with all the other waiters. I was pretty mortified..lol..Obviously I didn't wear my maternity shirt that day..lol..I"m pretty sure that little waiter would have been mortified to know that he pulled a pregnant woman up at the front to dance with him...ha!

Kirk must have thought it was funny b/c he took a picture! Yuk! lol

Smiling before the show

The Texas Tenors show! They were great!

Smiling before our last formal dinner!

Tomorrow is our last full day on the boat & at sea before getting home! :-)
The second day we docked we were in Belize City, Belize. This day we booked an excursion through the boat to take a tour of the island and to see the Mayan Ruins of Cahal Pech. We had to ride catamarans from the boat to the land since the cruise ship couldn't get docked close to the shore. So the first two pictures were taken while riding the catamaran.

We boarded a motor coach bus & rode for about a hour & half across the country to the ruins. This was our tour guide who shared lots of fun facts about the country & the Mayan ruins.
Some houses in Belize

This is one of 7 stop lights in the whole country that we passed though & you can defintely tell they don't have stop lights! I about had an anxiety attack from all the crazy driving. We were going about 70 down curvy roads in a big bus! Crazy! lol
Orange trees just lined the streets!

I took a ton of pictures of the ruins, so I'll just share a few. It was really neat to see how after so many years this palace was still standing & still so sturdy! It was neat going through the secret tunnels & learning about the way they did things. One crazy fact was when someone in the palace died, they would bury them in the walls! lol

Smiling for my 16 week pregnant picture in front of the ruins.

I climbed all the way to the top to sit on the throne! :-)

Kirk being silly in the King's bedroom.
The King's room was bigger because of all the women that would stay with him...AHH!! CRAZY! & the queen would have to approve them....No sir!

Me peeking out of the Queen's bedroom.
Smiling under one of the neat archways.

A picture of the backside of part of the Palace ruins.

One the way back we stopped at a little cafe and gift shop & I looked out the window & saw a little iguana...Do you see him? ;-)

We got back to the ship exhausted & took an almost 2 hour nap! (I took naps almost everyday...it was great!) then enjoyed another great dinner! Tomorrow we will be in Cozumel, Mexico!

Caribbean Cruise-- Roatan, Honduras

The first day we docked was in Roatan, Honduras. It is a tiny island right above the mainland of Honduras in Central America.
The view of Honduras when we were first getting off of the ship.

Posing by the beautiful blue water.

I loved the fun tribal band that was playing when we first got off the ship!

We found a tour guide along with 2 other couples & he toured us around the whole West side of the island and then we went to the beach for a couple of hours. The beaches were so beautiful and the day was so pretty & warm.
Kirk snorkeled most of the time at the beach & said he saw some beautiful fish. I tried to snorkel, but just looked like a dysfuntional idiot...LOL We definitely got a laugh at me!

So this is what I did most of the time..LOL.

Our tour guide took us to this little gift shop and it had a great view of seeing our ship in the distance!

Smiling in Honduras!

We loved our sweet tour guide, Witchel! :-)

Enjoying some time on the deck before dinner.

After dinner, we went and watched the Love & Marriage game. It was very funny! :-)

Our little bat friend we were greeted with when we came to go to bed. :-) Tomorrow we will be Belize City, Belize!

Caribbean Cruise Day 1 & 2

Last week, Kirk and I went on a family cruise along with 22 of his fellow co-workers on their first ever Family Cruise. It was such a nice way for his boss to tell all of his employees "thank you!" We had a great time & were so grateful for the experience! The first 2 days (Mon. & Tues.) were days at sea since we were making our way down the Honduras. We had lots of fun doing things on the ship & just relaxing!
This is our ship as we were pulling into Galveston.

The 1st night we got on the ship was the night of the Super Bowl, so they had a Super Bowl watching party that we went to for a little while & enjoyed some nachos & hot dogs! :-)

This was our first casual dinner in the Dining Room. We didn't miss a night! It was so good! :-)

The next day was our first full day on the ship. We woke up ate breakfast, cruised the ship's promenade (lots of little shops & a cafe), played Bingo (too bad I didn't win! LOL), and then I hung by the pool. It was kinda cloudy on the first day, but it was still nice to be outside. While I hung by the pool, Kirk & a few of his co-workers joined in a Basketball Tournament they were having. They didn't win, but they had fun & got a little exercise! :-)

We then went a did a little Adult Trivia Game & then got ready for our first Formal dinner night. It was fun to get all dressed up together & get served a fancy dinner. I think I tried Roasted Duck this night...I liked it too! :-)

After dinner, we went and watched a Battle of the Sexes game & Karaoke, which were both very entertaining...LOL

The next day was another day at sea, so we enjoyed hanging by the pool again & they had a GREAT pool side BBQ buffet & this beautiful fruit table.

Royal Caribbean also helps support the Make-A-Wish foundation & did a Walk for a Wish walk one day around the top deck, so I bought a shirt & joined in.

Later on that afternoon, we went and watched a GREAT ice skating show! It was amazing to think that they are doing all of these lifts, flips & twirls all on a tiny rink on a moving ship, but it was wonderful & one of my favorite shows on the ship!
We then saw a great Impressionist Paul Boland in a show before dinner. We had an eventful first 2 full days on the boat. We get off in Honduras tomorrow!
