Caribbean Cruise Day 1 & 2

Last week, Kirk and I went on a family cruise along with 22 of his fellow co-workers on their first ever Family Cruise. It was such a nice way for his boss to tell all of his employees "thank you!" We had a great time & were so grateful for the experience! The first 2 days (Mon. & Tues.) were days at sea since we were making our way down the Honduras. We had lots of fun doing things on the ship & just relaxing!
This is our ship as we were pulling into Galveston.
The 1st night we got on the ship was the night of the Super Bowl, so they had a Super Bowl watching party that we went to for a little while & enjoyed some nachos & hot dogs! :-)
This was our first casual dinner in the Dining Room. We didn't miss a night! It was so good! :-)

The next day was our first full day on the ship. We woke up ate breakfast, cruised the ship's promenade (lots of little shops & a cafe), played Bingo (too bad I didn't win! LOL), and then I hung by the pool. It was kinda cloudy on the first day, but it was still nice to be outside. While I hung by the pool, Kirk & a few of his co-workers joined in a Basketball Tournament they were having. They didn't win, but they had fun & got a little exercise! :-)

We then went a did a little Adult Trivia Game & then got ready for our first Formal dinner night. It was fun to get all dressed up together & get served a fancy dinner. I think I tried Roasted Duck this night...I liked it too! :-)

After dinner, we went and watched a Battle of the Sexes game & Karaoke, which were both very entertaining...LOL

The next day was another day at sea, so we enjoyed hanging by the pool again & they had a GREAT pool side BBQ buffet & this beautiful fruit table.

Royal Caribbean also helps support the Make-A-Wish foundation & did a Walk for a Wish walk one day around the top deck, so I bought a shirt & joined in.

Later on that afternoon, we went and watched a GREAT ice skating show! It was amazing to think that they are doing all of these lifts, flips & twirls all on a tiny rink on a moving ship, but it was wonderful & one of my favorite shows on the ship!
We then saw a great Impressionist Paul Boland in a show before dinner. We had an eventful first 2 full days on the boat. We get off in Honduras tomorrow!
