Christmas Card Bloopers!

We had a wonderful, yet super busy Christmas! Fritter had a wonderful time with all her sweet grandparents & family & loved opening presents...We let her open everyone's because she loved ripping the paper off so much! :) She was a hoot!....& speaking of hoot, I have a ton of pictures that are our Christmas card bloopers! I'm so glad no one saw us acting like fools to get her to sit (& still), look at the camera, & smile! LOL...Here are a few of the out takes!
Being silly..
Rocking her animals!
More silliness..
I'm done!!

And there go the animals! LOL
Here was our final selection...
I'm glad everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Now back to reality of taking down decorations, cleaning, & hoping to squeeze in some shopping in too! :)

Have a great night!

Merry Christmas!

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign: Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. ~Isaiah 7:14

Merry Christmas everyone!

I hope everyone has a great holiday with their family & friends!

We are having our traditional Christmas Eve dinner of lasagna with my parents tonight! It is so fun to see Fritter enjoy all the excitement of Christmas!

I hope everyone has a great Christmas day! :)

Wishing your family JOY & PEACE this holiday season!

Busy with Christmas Cheer!

I feel so separated from my blog, because I have been so busy with Christmas cheer! This past weekend we had my hubby's company party (which was so fun, but my hubby admits "Hey Jude" wasn't the best karaoke song to pick, LOL, he made $25 though & had a fun time! LOL)

Saturday, we went to my father-in-law's house for the Saints & Cowboys game (sadly, the Saints lost! :(), but I had a great time visiting with family. They also gave all the kids their gifts a little early! They gave Fritter some cute books, blocks, & these super fun butterfly sunglasses that velcro to stay on her face! LOL She loved them & didn't take them off all evening!

Sunday at church we had a great service & I love hearing the scriptures of Christ's birth & I try to imagine the feelings that Joseph & Mary must have felt. Also, I'm blown away that God choose to come to earth as a man to save sinners like me! It is such a humbling thought!

"But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord." ~Luke 2:10-11

It is good news of great joy!! :)

Well, Last night we had my sister's & Kirk's b-day party out at my parent's house! It is so fun to get to see all of my family all the time during the holidays! I love it!

Besides all the visiting with family, I have been one of those crazy people who have been out doing last minute shopping! I still have a little more to finish up with today & finish wrapping! Shopping with a toddler hasn't been the easiest thing, but she has been a trooper through it all & has had a belly full of goldfish & gummies too, so I'm sure she's happy! LOL

I hope everyone is having a great Christmas week!

Ladies' Christmas Party

Last night I hosted all the ladies from my church for our Christmas party! We have been having a bible study in my home every Tuesday evening since the summer time, so this was our little end of the year party too since we finished our study of Ephesians. We had such a fun time!

We had plenty of yummy food!

We also did a gift exchange by playing the right/left game read along to The Nativity Story! Much better & nicer than the stealing present game! LOL

Emily & Stephanie (our precious bible study leader)

Ms. Evelyn, Sweet Connor, Kim, & Andrea (showing off her fun yankee candle gift! ;))

Lots of fun fellowship!

I made these yummy homemade Nana's Mr. Goodbars! They are so easy & I would love to share the recipe with you! These are definitely a great snack to take to any Christmas party!

Nana's Mr. Goodbars
1 (12 oz) bag of chocolate chips
1 (6 oz) bag of butterscotch chips
1 (12 oz) can of Spanish peanuts

Put all the chips in a microwave safe bowl, with the butterscotch chips on the bottom. Microwave for 1 min. on high. Stir. Microwave for 30 sec., stir until smooth. Add peanuts; stir until coated. Drop by teaspoon onto wax paper. Let cool....enjoy! (Can eat room temp. or refrigerated)

We are heading out to my hubby's company Christmas party soon! Karaoke is the entertainment, so I'm sure it will be funny! I'll try to snag some pics of my hubby in action & post tomorrow! :)

Have a happy Friday!

Curious George Live!

Today Fritter & I had a fun day! My friend Michelle's family bought a lot of tickets to Curious George Live, but ended up not being able to go, so they gave 2 tickets to Fritter & me! We had such a fun time! It was her first time to ever go to anything like this & she did pretty good. She is definitely a wiggler & wanted to get down majority of the time, but she had a good time dancing, clapping, and waving to George!

I went to snap a few pictures & right when I went to turn my camera on the batteries died..(Grrr!) But I was able to snap some with my phone.

The dancers & singers were really good & it was a super cute show!

Sweet girl watching the show!

George breaking it down!

Tomorrow we are having my church's ladies Christmas party at my house, so I have a busy day of cleaning & cooking!  I'll be sure to post pics of all the festivities & fun food! :)
Only 8 more days until Christmas! Yay!

Holiday Market

Well I'm back & was kinda MIA the end of last week, because I was getting ready for my first ever craft fair at a local elementary school's Holiday Market. It was a lot of fun & a good way to get my name out there locally. I made some good sales & met so many nice people!

Here I am posing with my booth!
As you can see it out the door that it rained all day, so I was bummed about that b/c I'm sure a lot more people would have probably gotten out.

Here's the view of my side table with the fabric wipe cases, scarves, & crayon rolls on it. Plus I did a giveaway! (You know I love free stuff! :))

Here's the main table full of bibs & burp cloths & I had vintage pillowcase dress to the right of this table.

My best friend Michelle came & helped me all day & we had fun! She was such a big help!

I am so thankful for my sweet husband, family, & friends for all they did for helping me get ready for this craft fair....I seriously could not have done it if it wasn't for their help!

I'm itching for my next one!! :)

I have lots of stuff left & I took lots of pictures today & hope to list on Etsy tomorrow, so I'll give a sneak peek in the morning!

Have a great night!

Fun Mail Day!

Don't you just love it when the mail man comes to your door with a package??? I know I do & today I got 3!! Whoo hoo!

I signed up for the Brown Paper Package Exchange on Max & Ellie's blog & it was so fun to get my package today! Here is what I found when I took everything out of the box! :)

Look how cute they are wrapped!! :)
Here's what I got!!

A great book called Mother's Almanac that she says her family often refers too & it has so many fun arts & craft projects in the back, a yummy tin full of her Nana's Mr. Goodbars plus the recipe, & a cute Christmas flag banner that she made! So cute! I had so much fun doing this!

Another package I got in the mail was a cute apron that I won from Aly's blog!

It will be so fun to wear around this Christmas season! :)

And then my other package was some super cute guitar boy fabric I'm going to make a blanket for a friend with! It is going to be so fun!

Well I have been a sewing "machine" today! LOL I made about 15 bibs start to finish and I have one more day of lots of work & then I should be done! I love some of the advice ya'll gave me about your craft show experiences! I would love to hear more! :)

Well have a great Monday night!

Well first off, Thanks for the anniversary wishes & The Blind Side movie was the best! I loved it and it was such a humbling & wonderful story! I had tears run down my face many times during the movie! Definitely one I would like to see again & would love to own! next Saturday, I'm in my first ever craft fair! A local elementary school is hosting a holiday market & I entered a booth. I'm super excited, but also stressing! I made this real detailed schedule of what I would get done on each day and here it is a week before and that list is hardly accomplished!! AHH! Another stress is that I'm not sure how much to take. I want to take a lot so, I'm trying to work hard to get a lot made & a variety of things made....I can do this, I can do this, I can do this! LOL

My mother in law helped so much today though by watching Anna from like 8:30-3 for me & I was able to come back home and just sew! I enjoyed it so much, although it was a little weird for me not to have little Fritter whining at my ankles! LOL My other mother-in-law offered to watch her for me for a few days next week too, so I'm hoping I can get it all accomplished! :)

Have any of you ever been in a craft fair? Any words of advice for this newbie??

P.S. Only a few days left to enter to win a cute crayon creativity wallet in the Ducks In A Row Giveaway! :)

3 Great Years

My sweet hubs & I have been married for three years today! How fast 3 years has flown by! I have enjoyed getting to know him more and more everyday of our marriage & look forward to many more wonderful years ahead! He is such a steadfast rock to lean on & has seen me at my lowest points, but still loves me and takes care of me more than I could have ever asked for! I am so thankful for him & I thank the Lord for bringing our lives together!

What a sweet day!
