Catching up!

What an eventful week I have had!!

My nephew was born on Wednesday night and after a long day, we were so excited to meet him! He is so adorable & my sister did great! Here is Nicholas Michael!

He is oh, so sweet! They are coming up for a week during Christmas & I can't wait to hold him again! :)

My other sister & I rushed back on Thanksgiving morning so we could spend the day with our families & I met up at my husband's grandparents house. We had a fun day & Anna loved eating turkey & all the fixins'! :)

Naptime Studio giveaway!

Ok...Because of technical difficulties..This giveaway is a day late, so I'm extending it until Sat. & ya'll are going to love it! Blogger is being weird with my pictures & showing them to me in codes in my post, so I hope I can look past all these crazy letters & symbols to make this work! :) Is anyone else having this problem??

The giveaway this week is from NapTime Studio!

Naptime Studio started four years ago as Jen(the owner) found herself at home with a new baby, going through design withdrawals from the full-time job she just left and praying for some identity outside of milk producer and diaper changer. Her heart longed for her hands to make things, but of course that all had to blend with her new role as Mommy. Little by little she made her childrens' nap times her time to feed her creative need. Another baby and several years later she was ready to broaden her customer base and with the support of her husband and friends she opened her Etsy shop, Naptime Studio! Currently she am selling her digital designs, but hopes to add prints of her paintings and gifts for kids in the coming months.

Jen offers adorable baby announcement designs:

And adorable holiday designs!!

So unique!

This is one of my favorites!

Jen was so excited about this giveaway and has offered to giveaway one of her Holiday Photo Card designs. The winner will email a photo to her and she would create the design and email the winner the design that they could use to make prints. The winner can choose any design they like.

How great is that! A custom Christmas card!!

Thank you for being a friend.....

A few weeks ago at my MOPS meeting we had a really sweet lady come in and talk to us about nurturing our friendships. So often after we become married & then have children, our friendships tend to be put on the back burner. Some friendships may fizzle out and new friendships may blossom & that is just all about the seasons of life the Lord carries you though. I do know that He will put in your path friends that will be there to help and encourage you during the journey of marriage & motherhood.

The lady gave us a sheet to fill out with a lot of great truths on how to nurture & grow healthy friendships.

1. Pray for God-ordained friendships, then work on being one.
He who refreshes other will himself be refreshed. ~Proverbs 11:25
Ask yourself: Am I living like the kind of friend I'm looking for? Have I prayed for this very important part of my life?

God loves to hear our prayers and needs about every area of our life, so if you are desiring Godly friendships, pray to Him and in His perfect timing He will lead you to the perfect friend! :)

I know He has answered this prayer for me many times in the past.

2. Fully embrace this season you're in and nurture gratitude for it.
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again, Rejoice! Let your kindness be evident to all. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 4:6-7

So many times, I find myself being a complainer or whiner about situations in my life. At this season in my life with a small child and husband, I can't drop everything to go do something with a friend like I used too. I may not be able to be with my friends all the time, so when we are I try to make the most of it! :)

Another piece of advice she gave was to make a friend in every generation. I think this is such a good idea. This way you can have older, wiser counsel from your older friend & then if you have a friend in a younger generation you can be that mentor. It is a beautiful picture of the Titus 2 woman.

3. Be a good listener and make your speech gracious.
He who loves a pure heart and whose speech is gracious will have the king as his friend. ~Proverbs 22:11

I know this is one of the biggest qualities of a friend that I love. I love for my friends to listen and give me advice from a true heart even if it's not what I would want to here! :)

A good question to ask: When people are around me, do they walk away uplifted or weary?

4. Be real and resist the urge to compare yourself to others.

Resist the temptation to put this ideal view of yourself in front of people. Feel open to be real and share your struggles! I know some of my sweetest moments with friends have been at moments of transparency.

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. ~Proverbs 17:17

Good tip: Comparison breeds inferiority! (So true!)

Ask yourself: Do I let comparison of others steal my joy? Try not to let yourself even go there...

5. Remember that no one person can meet all your needs.
Jesus Christ is the only one that can fulfill all your needs. He will love you unconditionally. He will not be turned away by your neediness, but delights in you coming to him continually, in fact he tells us to pray without ceasing. Keep asking, keep seeking, keep beholding....

I hope that this has been a source of encouragement to you! If you are currently seeking friends, I encourage to join a Godly church who have women that are encouraging and loving, join your local MOPS group, join a sewing club, play groups, etc.

A new look is coming to The Fancy Fritter soon this week and I'm so excited! Can't wait for you to see it!

Have a great evening!

Christmas outfits!

I made the sweetest little outfit a few weeks for one of my old sorority sisters, actually my Big Sis :), and it is perfect for the holiday season!
It is made with sweet small red gingham and lined with white. Buttons are sewn on each tab for closure. These rompers can be custom made from size newborn-4T.
Here is another shot outside. All seams are serged for top quality! I have it listed in my Etsy shop HERE!

I plan on making a girl jumper soon too to match! I will be the same style, but will have a wider leg with a ruffle & ribbons on the buttons! Pics coming soon! :)

Let me know if you're interested!

Before I go, I just wanted to ask how many of you have seen the new Disney movie "UP"? I got it yesterday at the store along with some popcorn & called my hubby and told him we were having date night after little "Fritter" went down for bed. I'm definitely a quality time person, so I had a blast! It was one of the sweetest & cutest movies I have seen in a long time! :) It is a tear jerker too and now one of my new favorites! If you haven't seen it yet, you definitely should! :)

Well have a great Thursday!

Outre Beauty Bistro Giveaway!!

GIVEAWAY CLOSED!

Congrats to zachsgran!

Today I'm having another giveaway! Two in one week! How fun!! :)

I have been able to meet some of the sweetest Etsy shop owners by hosting giveaways and they are always so excited to participate! Heidi of Outre Beauty Bistro was thrilled to do this giveaway, so I hope everyone participates & shows her a lot of love!

Heidi learned how to make soap in 1997 after her daughter Katie was born. Her daughter had extremely delicate skin, so she used to make really basic lavender oatmeal and honey soap for her skin. Over the years, she has perfected her craft, bringing her where she is today. Outre Beauty Bistro offers glycerin soap, cold processed soap, bath bombs, bath salts, bath melts, body butter, bath butter, lip balm, lotion and an upcoming skin care line.

She has so many nice products in her shop:
"Avery's blend" soap
Her soaps look so yummy, you could eat them!! :)
Cardamon Blackberry Zinfandel...Oh la la! :)
Huge bath bombs!!
Roses Rouges and Verbena de Citron Savon Soap

Each soap is hand trimmed and weighs between 6-8 oz. Look how big that bar of soap is!!

Not sure what to get your mom, sister, daughter, mother-in-law, or friend for Christmas? Check out Outre Beauty Bistro & I'm sure you can find something! :)

Laurabelle is such a fun & unique shop! She makes all sorts of beautiful and cute hair accessories, such as, hairbows, hair clips, bobbie pins, and headbands!

Laurabelle is based out of Nashville and is dedicated to Di's 2 oldest beautiful grandaughters Lauren & Bella, thus the name - LaureBelle.
