M is for Mmm..Mmm..Good! :)

Today M is for Mmm...Mmm...Good!
I was going through pictures yesterday that were on my computer and found some that were scanned on my computer from my wedding slideshow. I found some of my childhood pictures & it is fun to compare how I looked when I was little to how Anna looks. Everyone says she looks like me now, but I don't think she looks like me when I was little. Although we may not look alike when I was little, we do both love sweets! :)

Me at around 2 years old or so...

Anna on her 1 year birthday :)
Well, now I'm off to find a brownie! LOL
Have a great weekend!

J is for Jury Duty

Today J is for Jury Duty!

Well today my hubby was summoned to Jury Duty. He was really bothered at first because he had to miss work, but I think he kinda got into it after it was all over. He is all hush-hush about it all and it is killing b/c I want to be so nosey and ask what it is all about. It is a criminal case so I'm sure it is juicy! LOL

He loves those court shows & forensic file things so he is so funny coming home and telling me all the court & law lingo. He had to call back tonight and find out if he was called back & he was, so tomorrow he starts round 2! I wonder if they will select him and how all that will work out.

I've never had Jury Duty so I'm clueless....

Have you ever had jury duty and did you enjoy it? I think it would be interesting, yet intimidating knowing that someone's verdict lies in your hands....
Well off to bed...That's my verdict! :)

I is for Immunizations & Icees! :)

Today I is for immunizations & icee's!
This morning we had to go to Anna's 15 month well check up and it was not very fun. She had to get shots this time around & it was miserable! She had to get two in her arms and one in her thigh. She had never gotten any in her arms, so she didn't like it one bit! Bless her heart!

Her 15 month growth was:

Head--17 3/4in (25%)

Weight-- 19lbs 7 oz (10%)

Height--30 1/2 in (50%)

She's a petite little thing! :)

After we left the doctor it was so hot & I figured a good "after shot" treat would be an Icee! I love Icees in the summer! She got a small coke one (they didn't have the clear white cherry kind! :/) and I got a yummy peach one! It made everything better & she loved it! :)

Well off to take a long "after shot" nap! (Hopefully! :))

E is for Excited

Today E is for Excited! I had the sweetest surprise yesterday evening. My hubby came home like normal and got showered and dressed for us to go eat dinner. Well when we walked out of the door, I saw this brand new white Mazda CX-7 in the driveway! I was like WHAT is this?!?! Then he handed me the keys and told me it was mine and said he had been working on it all week long...LOL...I had no clue & it was such a fun surprise! My dad has been a salesman at our Mazda dealership for like 25 years, so I love Mazdas & he gave us such a great deal on it! I'm so excited and can't wait to go on an afternoon drive! :)

It was such a happy evening, but it ended on such a sad note. Our family dog, Duke, was hit by a car in front of our house around 10:30 after we got home. It was so sad and tramatic. We are very sad that he is gone, but he was such a sweet & good dog! He was about 7 years old and my husband's dog before we got married, so he was very close to him. He is very sad, but hopefully as time goes by it will be easier. I just found this picture of him from about 3 years ago & he loved laying in this chair....He was so sweet! He will be dearly missed!

C is for Citrus Chicken

C is for Citrus Chicken because I wanted to share a yummy new recipe that I made a few weeks ago and I know your family would love it too! I got it from no other than Kraft Foods & Family magazine (I promise I don't work for them..LOL, although I won't mind a nice little check after all the times I have plugged them on my blog! :))

STOVE TOP Sweet Citrus Chicken

What You Need:
1-2/3 cups hot water
1 pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken
6 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1-1/2 lb.), pounded to 1/2-inch thickness
2/3 cup orange juice
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted

Make It:
HEAT oven to 400ºF.
ADD hot water to stuffing mix; stir just until moistened.
PLACE chicken in 13x9-inch baking dish. Mix juice, sugar and butter until blended; pour over chicken. Top with stuffing.
BAKE 30 min. or until chicken is done (165ºF).

It turns out so yummy & the hint of citrus taste makes it a great Summer dish! Have fun cooking & let me know if you try it out and like it! :)

B is for Bedding

So today's letter is B and the first thing that came to mind was our new bedding that I got on Friday!

We have had the same bedding since we were married and it was very worn out. I loved it though ,but it was a coverlet and I was really wanting a soft comforter! I found a new set at JC Penney's and I think it matches the room perfectly! The new sheets and pillows are so soft too! I slept so great Friday night, we didn't wake up until 10:30 Sat. morning! ha!

Another B is for Bible Study. Tonight we are having our Ladies Weekly Bible Study at my house. This will be our 5th week and I'm really excited how the Lord is bringing all of us closer together. We are doing a study through Ephesians and it has really blessed my soul to just read and meditate on the glory of my salvation in Christ Jesus. Oh, I can't wait to learn more tonight! :)

I hope everyone has a happy Tuesday! :)

A is for Anna (& Apples too!)

So I have really dropped the ball on blogging lately! Part of the reason is because we have been so extremely busy...I mean this is the first night in forever that we are staying at home and I'm very excited about it! :) So, what I'm going to do to get myself to stick to blogging is to do the ABC's of blogging. Over the next 26 days (hopefully! :)) I will be blogging on a different letter & topic a day! I thought this would be fun & would really get my brain working on different things to blog about.

Soooooo.....

Today is A! & Today's topic is none other than ANNA! :) Of course, she had to be first! lol

July 4, 2008 (3 months)
14 months

Anna is now 14 1/2 months old and is growing way too fast! That first picture was her a year ago on July 4th! My how time flies by!! :(
She is chattering all the time and can say lots of words. She is now saying: bye bye, mama, dadda, rarul (rascal), diaper, more, cup, Nonna, Mamaw, Poppie, Papaw, duck, dog, and that's all I can think of now..lol...I just love baby chatter!

She loves to dance & boogies down in the car with Momma! Today I actually caught her in her room with her radio turned up and getting down! It was so cute! lol

She loves to cuddle up with her lambie and loves to sit in momma's lap and watch movies. She recently discovered Finding Nemo and she brings it to me at least once a day to watch! :)

She now has 12 working on 14 teeth! She looks like a teenager with all those teeth! LOL..She is working on getting her canines through so hopefully after those come in, the teething will relax for a little bit! :/

Another A is for Apples and that's for a new bib I just listed on my Etsy page. It is so adorable and is the Red & Pink Apple print from Sandi Henderson's Farmers Market line. The back is a matching red with white polka dot! It is too cute!

Well have a great evening and I'll see ya tomorrow with B! :)
