We had a nice family day today and took Anna to ArtBreak for her first time. She had a blast! ArtBreak is a festival here in Shreveport that features artwork from local students in Caddo & Bossier parishes. They also have hands on activities and lots of differnent performances. This year is the 25th anniversary of the festival and Kenny Wayne Shepard who is a phenomenal guitarist came back to be the chairman this year. We actually were there to see his performance with children from Caddo & Bossier schools. It was so great to see the talent of such young musicians. Anna loved it..She danced, clapped, & jumped the whole time! :)

Before we left, we decided to walk around the hands-on activities and decided to try to let Anna do some painting on a paper plate. She cratered half way through (she was definitely in need of a nap) but we did get something good enough to hang on the fridge! I think I may have a little Picasso on my hands...LOL

Well what a fun day...I'm pooped now! I'm off to put on the PJ's and finish up on some sewing orders! Good night!

Shoe Fetish

After a quick dr. appt. this morning for me, I took Anna to a local toy store called Toy Fair to look around with some of her birthday money and we found her some of the cutest Keds walking shoes! The look so cute on her little feet. I have been looking everywhere for walking shoes for her b/c her feet are so tiny! Most one year olds wear at least a size 4, well Anna is barely out of a size 2...She really loves them and hopefully they will get her walking soon! :)

Then, my mom called me today and told me that some squeaky sandals that she ordered Anna came in and we were visiting my friend Michelle and stopped by to pick them up! They are so cute and are size 3's and still big but we will make them work so she can squeak around and walk! :) I will have to keep them away from Rascal though..He was chasing her around like she was a big fat chew toy! :)

We had such a fun & busy day! Well, we are having a fun little pool party tomorrow afternoon with some of Anna's friends in her new pool that her aunt got her for her birthday! I'll post pics soon of all the fun! ~Stacy

Our Little Lady is One!

What a fun weekend! Our baby girl Anna turned one year on Friday, April 17 and we had such a fun time celebrating. We planned a Ladybug themed party for her and it turned out to be so fun! She loved being with all her friends & family on her special day and we were so blessed to see how many people love our sweet baby girl! I had tons of fun getting things together for her party and decorating. My original plan was to have this beautiful Spring party outside with tables & chairs, the kids playing in the yard, etc. Well, when Friday came and the 100% rain forecast "rained" on my parade, we had to move the party inside. It turned out fine, just a little squished, but everyone was so supportive & made the most of it. Here are a few of the decorations: Here is the table with pictures of her from newborn to now...Such fun memories. I also had her invitation out and red & black jellybeans! :)

Here's the drink table...Little ladybugs everywhere!!

The cake table

I painted these flower pots for my outside party, but decided to bring them in to decorate. They turned out so well and didn't take any time to make!! Who said gardening had to be boring?? LOL

Anna loved her cake and we were so blessed to have one of our dear friends mother make it for us. I turned out so cute! I didn't want to eat it and mess it up...lol

When we sang Happy Birthday to her, it was so funny! She just said there with no reaction staring at us like we were crazy people...LOL...She then realized that that meant she could tear into this super cute mini ladybug cake she made for her and she loved it! She picked it up, squished it in her hands and just held it in her mouth and sucked on it. She loves sweets and she even did a nosedive!

She has been loving all of her presents she got from baby dolls, blocks, Elmo, clothes, and lots more. She also loves her new big girl chair her Nonna & Big Daddy (my parents) got her! She loves to climb in it and sit down and kick her feet...LOL..

So now I'm just trying to get our house back in order from all the party chaos and I'm busy with some sewing orders. I am so thankful to my wonderful Lord for blessing me with such a special year with such a special and sweet baby girl! I can only pray for many more years to come! :)

And the winner is......

Thank you all so much for your entries! My hubby just got home and I made him pick one out of the bucket and lucky Lindsay won!! :) Congrats! I was so excited to see what you all liked! I'm planning on adding some more outfits soon, so keep your eye out for new stuff! :)

Thanks for the birthday wishes too! Anna had a great time and I'll post pics of her birthday party soon!

Watch out, Cindy Crawford!!

Well, I'm a day late...I have every intention of posting about our fun Easter weekend yesterday, but it totally slipped my mind. I was still recovering...LOL...We had a great time with Anna's "First" Easter. She went to 2 eggs hunts on Saturday and had a blast! She didn't quite understand the whole point, but she sure thought plastic eggs were yummy! :) We woke up Sunday morning and all went to church as a family and then spent the rest of the day with family & friends! Here is sweet girl will all her eggs! :)
Today we had a fun day! We ran errands this morning and then when we got back I laid Anna down for her nap and started making a bunch of bibs. I have had some scrap fabric lying around for awhile that I have been needing to get these bibs made with it, so I just got to it while she was napping and ended up with 6 bibs that I just listed in my shop! After Little Miss woke up happy from her nap, we had a modeling session! She loved every minute of it as you can tell....

Well countdown to her birthday is starting! Only 2 more days after tomorrow! My baby girl will be a toddler! She has been standing by herself sometimes so we are hoping for some steps pretty soon! We'll see...

Well off to bed..Lots of ladybug planning ahead tomorrow after a stop by the park! Be back soon!

New Outfits and other jibber jabber...

Whew..What a busy week, but a fun week! I have been meaning to post more often, but in the midst of home improvement projects (before & after pics coming soon!), 1st birthday party planning, & creating some new outfits, I have not sat down to post! So let's play catch up....

First off, My baby girl will be 1 on April 17th and her party is 2 weeks from today! We are doing a ladybug theme and I can not tell you how excited I am! I have so many fun ideas and I have a to-do list a mile long, but I'm so excited to celebrate this special day with all my close family & friends! Anna is so loved & I hope she feels it on that day! I can't believe it has already been a year..Time flies..Don't get me started..The waterworks will get turned on!! lol
Something about springtime at our home makes us productive! :) Kirk finished trimming out all the outside windows & door in the front and oh my, does it make our house look completely different! We plan on painting soon so we are just slowly but surely getting everything done. I haven't taken the after pics yet, so hopefully I can give everyone a sneak peek within the next few days.

Other than fulfilling my domestic duties (ha!), I have been busy sewing up a storm. I finished Anna's ladybug pillowcase dress for her party last night, & whipped up 2 new outfits today. I went to Joann's and got inspired & I love how they turned out! So cute! Here is a peek of the 3 new listings in my store! (I just love my little model..hehe!)
